Welcome Home: Decorating with orange and turquoise

I'm not sure if it's my age or my eyesight but some color combinations in home decor which I may have thought too glaring before are gaining appeal.  One of those combinations is orange and turquoise.  I love this eclectic living room design on Houzz and I've gathered together some items from member shops and on the web to create a turquoise and orange design.

Start with a smart little sofa in white linen, the Buchanan sofa from Pottery Barn. is perfect and will last through many more decor changes in your home.

For the sofa a OOAK throw pillow from CarolineHanna that has a star detail in the spotted orange fabric.

Mixed with throw pillows covered in a turquoise and white chevron stripe from VFIllustration.  Chevron stripes are so popular these days.

Add a large, contemporary acrylic painting, "Brilliance at Sunset", from Burbeau Studios.

This painting by Martin Burbeau is large, 36 X 24, and was created on gallery stretched archival quality canvas using a palette knife.  The colors are perfect for our turquoise and orange design.

I chose these orange end tables from Room & Board because they are affordable and any wall color chosen will peak through the legs.

Add these vintage milk glass candlestick lamps upcycled by Earth Sea Warrior to the end table tops.

I chose a vintage industrial cart upcycled to a coffee table from Workshop152 on Etsy.

And added some rare fiesta turquoise pieces from Curiopolis, Sandra Longman has many lovely vintage items in her shop.

Bring it all together and here is the eclectic turquoise and orange living room or family room design I've created incorporating items from our team member shops.
